Friday Faves

I want to spend my summer on the beach in this pretty swimsuit.

Isn't this candy packaging just precious?  I wish I could buy some, if only for the package!

I've always had an affinity for pretty notebooks and big cats, so when you put these two together it's a dream come true!  Plus a portion of every sale of this Sumatran notebook goes to a non-profit environmental organization.

This cat mug just makes me happy.  How can you not feel happy when you look at all their smiling faces?

And finally, this lovely floral frock needs to find it's way to my closet ASAP.

What are your favorites this week?

Little Hearts

blouse, blazer :: Forever21
Shorts :: hand-me-down
socks, ring :: Claires
shoes :: Jeffrey Campbell via Karmaloop

Seriously, these boots are pretty freakin' amazing.  I've worn them to school the past two days, and they are so comfortable and easy to walk in.  That they make me over six feet tall is just an added bonus.

It was really too warm for this jacket, but it completed the look so I suffered through.

Isn't the little heart print on this top too cute?  I should really wear it more often.

Today was my chill day at school, so I went to the optometrist.  I received a bunch of funny looks from all the old people there, but I guess that's just how things go sometimes.  Especially if you're wearing massive blue and orange boots.

How was you're Wednesday?

Mini Pie Monday

Mini Mint Pudding Pie

Recipe:
I followed the "Lucky You" Mint Pie recipe, but I altered it a bit.  I left out the food coloring, and only added the peppermint to some of the pudding (because I detest mint in any form, crazy I know).  Because I made mini pies, I had tons of pudding and chocolate left over.  What did I do with that, you ask?  First, I made a graham cracker crust.  For that, you need:

1 stick (8 tablespoons) of butter
1/2 cup of sugar
1 package of graham crackers

Pulverize the graham crackers with a rolling pin (wow, that sounds so vicious!), melt the butter in the microwave, then mix it all together.

Next, just layer the graham cracker crust in a dish, layer on the chocolate, then the pudding.  Now you just put it in the refrigerator until it cools and thickens.  After a while, you can take it out and add whipped cream and chocolate chips on top of it, and it's ready to eat!  I have no photos of this yet, since it is still in the fridge, but I was sneaky and tried a little bit of it.  It was delicious!

What have you been baking this weekend?

30 Day Drawing Challenge- 2,3, and 4

Day 2- Favorite Animal
This is just a quick pen sketch of my cat.

Day 3- Favorite Food
I'm really loving broccoli and cheese soup lately, it's just so yummy!

Day 4- Favorite Place
Yeah yeah, it's corny, I know.  And I was too tired to draw faces.  Oh well, we all have our days, right?

Friday Faves

These days of summer pencils are pretty awesome, I can't wait for summer to be here!

Dinosaurs are pretty awesome.  Dinosaurs drinking from a pretty teacup are just out of this world.

I love tba's spring 2012 collection,  it's so pretty and feminine!

This sweet scalloped cuff tutorial over at A Beautiful Mess is too cute!

I saw this sweet leather peter pan collar over on The Dainty Squid, and I was just smitten with how adorable it was!

Today I spent my day being all crafty with my best friend, and now I'm heading over to the First Friday event in Tallahassee!

What are you loving this Friday?

Red Velvet

Shirt :: Olde Field's Clothing Co.
Blazer :: Forever21
Jeans :: Kohls
Boots :: thrifted
Ring, necklace :: Claires
Bracelets :: gifted

Sorry about the absence these past few days; between working overtime everyday, all my school assignments, and being sickish, I haven't had time the time or energy to do much else.  But I'm getting better (slowly) and I've got the weekend to myself, so yay!

So these boots are super cute, but sooooo uncomfortable.  Probably because they're a half a size too big (but how could I pass them up?).  I'm thinking about DIYing them to spice them up, but I haven't decided yet.  Any opinions?

Tomorrow my best friend is coming over and we're gonna be all crafty and stuff.  We've got super exciting news, but I'll talk more about that later!  How are you all gonna spend your Friday?

My boyfriend wore my jacket while taking pictures, and I just had to take a few photos of him (funny faces and all!).
